Spring at the coast
Spring at the coast is wonderful. Bright sunshine, dark clouds, rain and wind, bright sunshine - in that order, again and again! A recent amble in Nye Beach during the bright sunshine stage of weather turned up artist Juergen Eckstein, oiling his sculpture on the north side of the Performing Arts Center,
a happy crowd at Nana's Irish Pub,
and an equally happy crowd on the beach. Notice the people IN the water.
I love that the Don Davis Park still has a pair of coin operated binoculars.

From Valley to Coast
We love the drive from home (just west of Philomath) to Newport.
At this time of the year, in the morning as we drive west, the mist clings to the hillsides.
And in the evening as we return home, the setting sun colors the sky.
